3-16-25//HIS COMPASSIONS NEVER FAIL LOVE DEEPLY

Michael Morgan

COMPASSIONS: racham (raw-kham'); a primitive root; to fondle; by implication, to love, especially to compassionate:

compassion (in the plural); by extension, the womb (as cherishing the fetus); by implication, a maiden:

to love, love deeply, have mercy, be compassionate, have tender affection, have compassion

1 John 3:1-3 See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. 2 Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. 3 And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

The Greek word behind the English expression "how great" is potapen; it speaks of something that has come from another country — something exotic, something beyond what has previously been experienced. The translation could read, "Behold, what exotic love the Father has poured on us." The love of God comes from another world; it seems foreign to the human race. And this love has been lavished on us, poured out on us, as shown by the fact that God allows us to be called children of God.

Matt 5:43-48 "You have heard that it was said, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR and hate your enemy.' 44 But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47 If you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? 48 Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Isa 54:9-10 “For this is like the days of Noah to Me, When I swore that the waters of Noah

Would not flood the earth again; So I have sworn that I will not be angry with you

Nor will I rebuke you.

10 “For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, But My lovingkindness will not be removed from you, And My covenant of peace will not be shaken,”

Says the Lord who has compassion on you.

3-2-25//HIS COMPASSIONS NEVER FAIL CONT

Michael Morgan

Lam 3:20-26 Surely my soul remembers And is bowed down within me.

21 This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope.

22 The Lord's lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail.

COMPASSIONS: racham (raw-kham'); a primitive root; to fondle; by implication, to love, especially to compassionate:

compassion (in the plural); by extension, the womb (as cherishing the fetus); by implication, a maiden:

to love, love deeply, have mercy

HAVE MERCY

Eph 2:4-10 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

Isa 30:18 Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you; And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the Lord is a God of justice;

Blessed are all those who wait for Him.  NKJV

1 Peter 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Heb 4:16 Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

LOVE DEEPLY

John 3:16-18 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.

2-16-25//THE LORD’S LOVINGKINDNESSES INDEED NEVER CEASE: BEAUTY

Michael Morgan

Lam 3:20-26 Surely my soul remembers And is bowed down within me.

21 This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope.

22 The Lord's lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail.

23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.

24 "The Lord is my portion," says my soul, "Therefore I have hope in Him."

25 The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the person who seeks Him.

26 It is good that he waits silently For the salvation of the Lord.

BEAUTY:

The beauty of the Lord verses the ugliness of this world

Beauty of the Lord in nature

Isa 61:1-3 "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me

To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,

To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, And the day of vengeance of our God;

To comfort all who mourn,

3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes,

The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;

That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified."   NKJV

2 Chron 20:20-22 So they rose early in the morning and went out into the Wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, "Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper." 21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the Lord, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying: "Praise the Lord, For His mercy endures forever."

22 Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated. NKJV

Ps 96:6-9 Honor and majesty are before Him; Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.

7 Give to the Lord, O families of the peoples, Give to the Lord glory and strength.

8 Give to the Lord the glory due His name; Bring an offering, and come into His courts.

9 Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness! Tremble before Him, all the earth. NKJV

God/Christ is the perfection of beauty

Ps 50:1-2 The Mighty One, God the Lord, Has spoken and called the earth

From the rising of the sun to its going down. 2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty,

God will shine forth. NKJV

2-2-25/THE LORD’S LOVINGKINDNESSES INDEED NEVER CEASE: KINDNESS

Michael Morgan

LOVINGKINDNESSES; checed (kheh'-sed); kindness; by implication (towards God) piety: rarely (by opposition) reproof, or (subject.) beauty:

1.     goodness,kindness ,faithfulness

2.     a reproach, shame

Lam 3:20-26 Surely my soul remembers And is bowed down within me.

21 This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope.

22 The Lord's lovingkindnesses indeed never cease…Kindness

KINDNESS:

“But the fruit of the Spirits is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law” Galatians 5:22-23.

Titus 3:4-7 But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, 6 whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.

Isa 54:8-10 "In an outburst of anger I hid My face from you for a moment,

But with everlasting lovingkindness I will have compassion on you,"

Says the Lord your Redeemer.

9 "For this is like the days of Noah to Me, When I swore that the waters of Noah

Would not flood the earth again; So I have sworn that I will not be angry with you

Nor will I rebuke you.

10 "For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake,

But My lovingkindness will not be removed from you,

And My covenant of peace will not be shaken,"

Says the Lord who has compassion on you.

Ephesians 2: 6-7 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

Colossians 3:12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience

Romans 2:4 Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?

Rom 2:4 Or are you [so blind as to] trifle with and presume upon and despise and underestimate the wealth of His kindness and forbearance and long-suffering patience? Are you unmindful or actually ignorant [of the fact] that God's kindness is intended to lead you to repent (to change your mind and inner man to accept God's will)?  AMP
