7-19-26//SO FAR AS IT DEPENDS ON YOU…PASTOR DAVID REEVE

Rom 12:9-13 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; 11 not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12 rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, 13 contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality.

14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. 16 Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation. 17 Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all men.18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.

·       Individual Accountability: we are ultimately responsible for our own deeds.

Rom 14:12 So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God.

Gal 6:5 For each one will bear his own load.

      Ezek 18:20 "The person who sins will die. The son will not bear the punishment for the           father's     iniquity, nor will the father bear the punishment for the son's iniquity; the    righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself.

Gen 3:1-12

·       Stewardship: In Luke 12:48, Jesus teaches, "Everyone to whom much was given, of him much will be required," meaning we are responsible for the time, gifts, talents, and resources God has entrusted to us.

1 Peter 4:10 As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good  stewards of the manifold grace of God.

Prov 3:9-10 Honor the Lord from your wealth And from the first of all your produce;

10 So your barns will be filled with plenty And your vats will overflow with new wine.

·       Providing for Others: 1 Timothy 5:8 emphasizes the physical duty to care for one another: "But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever".

Philem 4-7 I thank my God always, making mention of you in my prayers, 5 because I hear of your love and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints; 6 and I pray that the fellowship of your faith may become effective through the knowledge of every good thing which is in you for Christ's sake. 7 For I have come to have much joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.
