5-25-25// IT IS GOOD THAT HE WAITS SILENTLY FOR THE SALVATION OF THE LORD

Michael Morgan

Lam 3:20-26 Surely my soul remembers And is bowed down within me.

21 This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope.

22 The Lord's lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail.

23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.

24 "The Lord is my portion," says my soul, "Therefore I have hope in Him."

25 The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the person who seeks Him.

26 It is good that he waits silently For the salvation of the Lord.

Lam 3:26 It is good that one should hope and wait quietly For the salvation of the Lord. NKJV

Heb 11:1 NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]. AMP

Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.NKJV

Heb 11:1 Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.

1 Peter 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Rejoicing in hope

Rom 12:12 rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer,

For the salvation of the Lord

for temporal deliverance from outward evils and present afflictions, and for spiritual and eternal salvation. The saints, under the Old Testament, waited for Christ, the author of salvation, appointed and promised by the Lord. He is come, and has obtained salvation, which is published in the Gospel.

It is worth waiting for

1 Cor 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.
